Hi everyone,
Thank you for your patience. We wanted to inform you that this is accepted and scheduled for updates after version 1.29.
So far, the following is planned:
- Ability to assign supplier to a product (not required)
- Ability to set minimum and maximum stock level
- Generate report that gives you what quantity needs to be ordered to reach max (refill)
- Ability to filter report by supplier or product (and product groups in the future)
However, we wanted to ask for your and clarification regarding timely notification.
Questions
The questions are:
- Would you like to be notified in real-time when some product goes below negative quantity?
- If yes, when and how would you like to be notified?
Notification options
If we agree to implement notification system, so you are notified when a product goes to critical level, we can:
- Display message dialog with product(s) details or
- Display toast message (that small message in corner that automatically disappear after few seconds)
Concerns
We believe that having these notifications can be annoying and not serve the purpose.
Also, if we assume that notification happens after the sale (stock level goes critical), we are not clear yet what should we do when you sell the same product again and again. Should this notification be displayed every time you sell a product whose levels are below critical, or you would like to see this notification only once for each product? Thanks, Aronium team.

Hi Aronium team,
Thank you for planning this in, this will truly make this POS system even better.
Personally the report would be great especially for re-ordering.
I would also say the notification would be best in a message dialog and i would have it for when it is placed in the till (IE after scanning) so the cashier is aware they need to notify someone to reorder, some times staff walk away from till when they are finished as the go into auto pilot.
I think a simple message like "ITEM - XXX is below the reorder level." I would leave it at that with no follow up messages until you are out of stock which would them leave a message of " ITEM - XXX is out of stock." . When we need to reorder we will then use the reports to do a bulk buy from the supplier.
We operate online sales as well as in store so to keep stock levels the same once the POS says its out of stock we would then mark it as sold out on the Online store.
This is just me personal opinion and that would best suit my business needs.
Hope this helps
Josh

We have received more comments but it ended up on our email, we are sharing it here so we can all see and discuss. Thank you!
Hello Team Aronium,
At last we learned from you that you already planned for this feature.
Regarding your concern, I would also suggest that once the item has reached its critical level or reordering point, the POS will display a pop-up dialogue message box that it has reached the critical level and will keep on displaying once it is punch repeatedly and will display out of stock as soon as it will reach to zero. The Out of Stock message will only display once an item will be punched/selected again and again, but it is assumed that no item can be punched again once it is out of stock. And so the POS must have in the report to display all items for reordering so it can replenish and remove critical/reordering point and out of stock dialogue boxes. Hope, this added more idea on how to do this.
Thank you and Happy New Year!

Hi Aronium team,
These are some great updates.
For me an on screen message after the sale to tell the user that this product "xxxx" is at minimum stock level. The message should stay on screen until the users closes it out to confirm they now know that the product is at minium level and have to do something about it. If a retailer decides they do not want this feature maybe it would be possible to turn off the notification???
The update on the reports is really good news for me as my suppliers look for sales out data on a selection of products each month for promotional reasons. They will run a sell out promotion on maybe 10 or 12 sku's for the month and then I have to send my sales report of those 10 or 12 Sku's for that period to receive credit for the promotion. without this report I do not receive any support from the supplier.
