Promotions Feature Quantity Discounts

In the promotions field it would be good to buy multiple items contained within a category and get a discount.

Such as

 

Buy 1 item in category A - Price is the same

Buy 2 items in category A - 10% or fixed price off discount

(items can be different e.g 1 Tennis Racket and 1 Ball in the category Tennis or One Ball and one T-shirt in the category Tennis)

Buy 3 items in category A - 20% or fixed price off discount

 

Also the ability to have these kind of promotions as either On or Off instead of just a start date and end date.

  Quantity promotion is available with version 1.19.

  hi

  though i was trying same way, no such promotion is being activated automatically even if the quantity is much higher than condition, or even otherwise.

  Hi KKM,

  There were some limitations with promotions and the way promoted items are being added to the sale. For example, if you set quantity discount to be applied if two or more pieces are added to the sale, it will not be applied only if you add items one by one.

  This issue will be fixed with version 1.23, you will be able to select a quantity before adding item to the sale and promotions will be applied as expected.

  Please try adding items one by one and see if promotion gets applied.

  Yes, it worked when i add Qty, one by one, and after reaching the limited qty.

   

  will the feature be improved, if i wish to add different percentage or flat reduction at different qty, purchases.

  i.e. upto Qty=2,  say 10%

  Qty 3-4  say 15%

  Qty 5 or more say 20%.

  Now, i am not able to add same item in the promotion, for different Quantities.

  We would like to see additional promotion types in the future, but they are not scheduled at this moment, I'm sorry.

  Dear aromium Team,

  I still have to add items 1 by one to get promotions to work.

  Or is there anything else to do.

  If items are twenty I have to scan all 20 before promotions is applied

  i need a promotion that when customers buy 1 product (product 1), they will get 1 other product (product 2) for free..

  Hi Gerald,

  You can achieve this by putting "linked" products to one product group and then assign quantity promotion on that group instead of separate products. With promotion applied on a product group, any product that is added to the group will behave the same, so you can have 1+1 promotion in place.
