Print price as barcode on receipt

Hi 

at the moment the receipt number is printed as a barcode on every receipt. Is there a way to make it print the total price of the receipt instead of the receipt number? 

The reason is we use 2 systems, one for the butcher side where all products are added and prices are calculated, and then at the main system we just enter the total cost as a "meat" product but we do this manually. If we were able to print the price as a barcode then we just need to scan it and it will save us a lot of time.
