Cash Drawer and Payment method types

For Credit Card payment, I have the payment type set to print receipt, but open cash drawer turned off.  When selecting print receipt from the print receipt dialog the cash drawer still opens even though the cash drawer is turned off for credit cards.  Thoughts as to why it still opens when it shouldn't?
