    We have replied to the support ticket you created. Just in case someone else have the same question, we are sending the same reply here.

    Unfortunately, payment types have nothing to do with taxes, because taxes are assigned to products and payment types are assigned to a sale (transaction). You can have multiple payment types for one sale with multiple products with different taxes, so there is no way to associate payment type with a particular tax.
     
    For example, you have a sale of two products, one with 15% tax and another with 7% tax. Price for both products is $100, so the total amount is $200 (after tax). Your customer chose to pay using split payments, paying $50 in cash and $150 using a credit card. In this scenario, there is no way to tell what payment type was used for which product to be able to associate a payment with a tax.
