How to slow down change display on payment screen

So I am have two problems the 1st is I am having trouble getting the led display to work with aronium. I'ved tried different settings etc but it shows gibberish. From what I've read aronium only works with certain led displays but I am not seeing a toggle to chance from vfd to led. My main issue that needs resolved is the payment screen goes by too fast. I need it to pause for a few moments so whoever is running the register can see the change display.
