Hi, I have a serial Epson TM88 80mm thermal printer that connects via a com port. Can I use this? Can't see a option to select a printer com port? Thanks, Jason

  Hi Jason,

  You need to have printer installed in Windows, so it can be selected in print options as a receipt printer. Even if Aronium use ESC/POS and send commands directly to printer, it is referencing it via Windows printer, so it must be installed.

  I believe there are drivers available for your printer (like this one). Once you have your printer installed, you will be able to select it in print options and use it for receipt printing.

  The T88-IV has a max baud rate of 38400bps which seems too slow for POS80 printing.
  It would be advisable to replace with a EB-U05 USB interface card.

  As for T88V, even after setting the printer to 115200bps, the self test shows 9600bps.
  I didn't bother, just use the built-in USB port, solves the problem.
