Created Items Updated Items

When we import products and when it says Created Items and below it Updated Items, is there a way to find out what the updated items are?

Currently I have to create a spreadsheet, and check for original Name and then original SKU before I can upload.

  I think I found the answer
  
  If I use the Advanced Import option it tell me if there is a duplicate.
  I believe this is for Product Names. and yes SKU as well
  
  Am I correct in saying this is what I should be using to make sure I am not adding different stock to the other product with a possible same name??

  I think I am partially right, however that Advanced only works for that CSV file being imported.
  
  So back to my original question..
  
  If I import items and I get the Updated Items msg, how can I check to see what they are.
  As it could be a different item but the csv file as added it as an item already created before.
  So my input to the CSV file could be a duplicate...
