Print Product code on Screen & Receipt

We need to print the Product code on Receipt. It would be very beneficial to have this printed before or after the qty x price text. Displaying product code on the checkout confirmation screen similarly will also be very helpful.

  I found a workaround which solves several problems at once by combining Code with the Name field. This way it prints on the code on the receipt and makes it easier to search as we don't have to keep switching between search fields when entering items.

  I exported all the products into a CSV file and then used Excel to position SKU column before Name. Then I copied and pasted both columns into Notepad. I then did find and replace and got rid of the tab spacing and changed it to ": " so it would become "Code: Name". I then pasted the merged column in place of the name column and imported the file back.
