Hi Zaid,
Can you please send an example where the report has generated incorrect results?
For your information, cost price used in report is not current cost price, it is taken from sales item.
Every time a sale is created, cost price (the one set at that moment) is stored in document item, so for example, if your cost price for some item was 10 at the moment when sales was made, and you change it to 20 later, it will still show 10 in a report. Thanks, Bosko

Hi Zaid,
We have tried to reproduce this issue and everything was as expected, cost prices were calculated with or without discount. As an example, here are the simple steps we did:
Add two products, Apples and Bananas
- cost price: 50
- sell price: 100
Step 1:
Sell a single item without discount. Result:

Step 2:
Delete that sale, sell single item again (Apples), this time with fixed discount of 20. Result:

Step 3
Create additional sales with those items, without applying any discount.
As you can see, fixed discount is calculated correctly and was included in profit report. Also, selling multiple items calculates cost price and profit correctly.Again, that report relies on cost prices, and they must be set before sale is done. In case cost price is not set on items, there will be nothing to compare, and you will get the results you see.
The cost price for the product is set as in a screenshot below:

Please, check you cost price, if nothing happens, we suggest you to submit a support request or send an email to support@aronium.com, so we can help you out by looking at your database (if you can send a copy to us).
Please let us know if I have missed something.
Thanks, Bosko.

Hello again, and thanks for replying,
I checked my data and there is no item with zero cost price, so I am going to be more specific with the order I had problem with, the order contain 22 item, the fixed discount was a cart discount, not item discount, means the discount made on the whole order not on each item alone, as for the additional item sales, I thing I got wrong value because one of the items was sold on the discounted order and the other without discount, I appreciate your help

Hi Zaid,
We have identified a bug where, in some cases, sales are stored without cost price, resulting in bad "profit" report.
It is fixed in version 1.14.1, please, update Aronium to the latest version, this issue should be gone after the update.
Keep in mind that this fix applies to future sales only, the ones created before this version may still have bad cost prices.
For more info, visit release notes at https://www.aronium.com/en/features/release-notes
Thanks, Aronium team.

Hi Learning Path,
Product cost price is set manually. There is an option to offer you to change the cost price during purchase, but it is used for purchase documents only, so, once you purchase the same item for a different price then the one currently set in product, you will be prompt to update cost price of a product.
You can find some more info at https://help.aronium.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360002693072-Cost-price-not-updating.Now, when you make a sale, current product cost price is saved in transaction, and that cost price is used later for reporting. So, no matter if you change the product cost price later, the one that was set during sale will be used in profit report.
This also means that, if you change quantity or sale price in management section, only these values are affected, cost price will stay the same, as it is taken from the product cost price at the moment of the transaction. What you need to do is make sure your cost price is up to date at the moment of the sale, this way, you will have accurate result in profit report.
I hope this helps.
Thanks, Aronium team.
