Duplicate Installation
AnsweredHi,
Big fan of the software in comparison with Unicenta it blows it out of the water.
Question, as you are not yet using a my sql database system that can be used across multiple terminals how would I achieve a duplicate installation on a second machine? Obviously I can see the option of exporting the csv file but I am also assuming that this will also entail some additional setup after importing on the new machine?
Thanks in advance

Hi Dan,
If you are referring to products import only, there is no any extra setup, you can simply export your products from one installation and import it to the second one.
Just keep in mind that products export does not include child groups (only first level) in export / import, it will be supported in some of the future releases.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
I actually did some playing and managed to achieve a complete duplicate. The way to do this is to actually just copy the database file over to the new installation and you have a complete mirror including all child groups, product images etc. Obviously for reporting purposes having a shared sql database would be ideal but in the mean time I am more than happy with this solution!
Thanks
