is there any way to add an option to the payment for checks and credit cards, checks for the check number and credit cards for the transaction or authorization number, before it submits?

  Is the requirement to store transaction number when sale is paid by credit card or check for later reference?

  there isn't a way to record the check number in the payment for if its possible to add a note to each payment that would be great
