    Hi Jim,

    What print template you are using for printing receipts? POS58\80 or ESC POS?

    We are using same printer in our lab to test all the print templates and we have never have similar issue. Maybe the incorrect printer driver is causing the problem. Try to print Windows test page from the printer diver propriety page and see if it prints with normal speed.

    from my knowledge, the 1st receipt after machine starts is slow as it loads the receipt template.

    I have personally encountered that it does take up to a minute to have the receipt printed. only happens to that particular POS machine. I don't know why.

    Hi Aronium.Lover,

    Yes, that is correct, the first receipt can be slow because print template is loaded from disc. After that it is kept in memory so there is no slowdown anymore.
    However, it should not take up to a minute to load relatively small file, you may want to check if HDD is OK, as we never experienced that kind of loading time.

    Also, what you can try is changing to ESC/POS, as that is different type of print. It communicates with printer using ESC/POS protocol and it is not using print templates (files) at all.
