Networking printer issue

Im using the network version on 3 pcs 2 are tills and the 3rd is a back office

All pcs have there own printer which are set as default 

when i choose to print from the back office and choose the printer its fine or sometimes it just prints from the default but when the other pcs are used as pos the cash drawer wont open and the default printer has gone i would have thought if the printers are set as default they would stay how can i stop this from happening
