Hello,
I have purchased a safescan drawer but  cannot get this to open via the software.
I have also purchased a BT-100U which converts RJ-12 to USB so I can bypass the receipt printer but that also does not work

There is no 'open code' on the FAQ page for the brand SafeScan

Safescan have given me this:

"the cash drawer is using a normal NO/NC circuit."
and

Please send 'hello' to the involved COM port, you should open the cash drawer now.

Example: ''echo hello > COM1''

 

any help out there please??

  It's been a while now I would need to go back and check, but... 
  
  I eventually got a new printer and then guessed / attempted random codes of drawers.
  
  I will check this out and let you know when I am close to it again.

  I tried different codes already but nothing works. I'm only using USB Trigger for Cash Drawer without any printer.

  Yeah, my trigger was either useless rubbish from Amazon or the software couldn't use a trigger.
  
  I was not initially needing / wanting a printer either, but got one in the end and it helped with this and other issues, e.g. just having the ability to print receipts

  i got one just frome ali a Xprinter 80 also cut your prints its nice

  and works with chash draw  what you can see got it a long time a go and still works like day 1
