    Hi Yahya,

We do not have "Star" printers in our lab, so maybe someone from community may answer better, but we do know some things that can be helpful.

First of all, Aronium has two different ways of printing receipts:

    1. Using ESC/POS protocol
    2. Using standard Windows print job

    Using ESC/POS protocol

From what we know, Star printers has their own protocol, but are capable of changing preferred protocol to ESC/POS, so it is compatible with Aronium. However, there was some issues on some Star printers with formatting the output (bold, italic, double height etc) when using ESC/POS protocol, but this can be turned off in Aronium, so receipt prints as expected.

    Using standard Windows print

This type of print is selected by default in Aronium (you can read more about it here), What you can check before you buy a printer if it is compatible with Windows print. This means that, if this printer can print text from Notepad, it will work with Aronium. Simple as that.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards, Aronium team.

If you can ask the store to test it for you, that would be great.

In my case, we need to buy a cheap thermal printer with auto cutter from China (ITPP047 IssyZonePOS), I asked the store if they can run a print test for to know if it is compatible with Aronium, and they downloaded Aronium and did a print test for me. It worked perfectly. So I confidently bought their thermal printers.

I'd recommend that if you can ask them to do a print test for you, ask em, they might as well test other models and recommend a different model, but better, for you.

    Dear Aronium Team

I have been using my software for a year now & it was working fine. Yesterday i changed my order and payment settings so that it wont ask non-admin users to file the receipt pdf, rather to print it automatically. Today, in the morning my Epson T20 was printing a long receipt with dots only when i try to print receipt, however the printer is working properly in other softwares like excell.

    Help will be greatly appreciated

    Regards
    Anesu
