Add initial stock

When I add a new stock item when I first set up the system, I dont see anywhere to add stock amount ( Stock Count)
Where do I input this first time around.??
Or in fact when I add a new stock item at any later date?


Also Is there a way to print out a current stock report for the like of stock takes
And then put the stock count back in after

  Hi Pete,

  Stock quantities are handled separately from product definition. Stock quantities are based on purchase and sales documents. This means that, if you wish to add quantities on stock, you need to create a purchase document. Quantities in this purchase document are automatically added to the stock, the same way quantities are automatically deducted once sale is made.   For starting quantities, you can use inventory document. It allows you to specify current stock quantities without creating purchase document. You can read more about inventory count document at https://help.aronium.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001110085-Inventory-count
