A reason why a discount was given

    Yes this would be absolutely amazing to do this. Maybe make it so only management logins can offer discounts unless it is an option on the till as part of a promotion. Then management has to login to authorize and also comment on receipt as to why given. Have an option for discounts offered by all users or just management for best of both worlds if that makes sense.

    Hi Gareth,

    Actually, you can control who can apply discounts already using access levels. You can set required access level for discounts, and, this way, only a manager (user with required access level) will be able to apply discounts manually. You can find more info at https://help.aronium.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001375609-Setting-up-access-level.

    The setting you are looking for is the one below:

    Regarding the option to write the reason why discount is applied, we have solved it with Pete using notes plugin, allowing you to enter notes after the sale is done.

    Its is an option, but to add it 'when' the transaction is happening would be much better.

    This is because if the Admin is not in the shop and your worker decides to give a discount, it would be good to know why.

    What they item broken, old, for my mum or what ever reason...
