Credit/Debit Card surcharge
Is there a way we can setup a surcharge for using a credit/debit card?
I want to be able to setup a i.e. 1.25% surcharge for using credit card to cover cost of the Credit card terminal.
Another program I have used in the past allowed for a secondary tax to be created that had the base 10% GST tax and an additional 1.25% which combined comes to 11.25% (obviously) and it allowed you to select which tax rate to charge, you could select 10% GST for cash payments and 11.25% for Credit card .. it worked as a work around.

Why not just increase the cost of your products by a % more?
Using a credit card on any terminal will still be charged the same transaction fee so your not actually gaining much.
I understand the need to do this sometimes, however adding a %1 or 1.25% more wont change the price of your items that much if any one notices at all.
IE
You pay $3.00 for a widget
you adjust by 200% change it to 202%
final cost is $6.00 or 6.01 See where I am going with this?

I think the program does this but it may not. Add a new Tax Rule
and Name it CC Surcharge rate would be 1.25%
Some states/countries have you break down Taxes on your receipts via Local or City then State tax and want these to be done separately

You are right. It will be nice if there will be option to add some extra % on credit card charges.
Also a good idea' to make available on check payment, to write details of the check/checks paid on the transaction. Some times, customer want to pay with several checks, ( for example 3 checks, for next 3 months). The transaction, should be marked as payed, but in transactions it should show several rows of payments,
Or another example, customer could pay a part of the order by cash and other part by check, but for the next month.
The good idea is, to make these options available as fixed option (on\off), for specific payment type.
So then, can be report, for checks that should be transfered at specific date to bank.

Hi Chris,
There is no credit card processing integrated with Aronium as we speak. We hope we'll be able to add this in the future with help of some global processing companies. Until then, you have to run card processing outside Aronium and close the sale manually once credit card is charged.
Best regards, Aronium team.
