Hi Libreria,
This screen appears if Aronium cannot find database at expected location. Can you please tell us, are you using the same account that you used to install Aronium?
For your information, database is located in the following directory:
C:\Users\{YOUR_USER_NAME}\AppData\Local\Aronium\Datawhere {YOUR_USER_NAME} part is your Windows account name.
If you cannot find this directory, just type "%localappdata%" in "Run" dialog and press OK:
After this, you should see "Aronium\Data" folder with "pos.db" file in it, that is the database. If that file is missing, this screen will appear.
What you can do, you can run installer again, it will copy "pos.db" at expected location.and you should be able to start Aronium without this screen (if you used the same Windows account used to install Aronium, I am not sure why database is missing)

Hi Sukowo,
Changing the configuration files manually is not recommended.
However, if you wish to change it manually, database location is stored in the following configuration file:
C:\Users\{YOUR_USER_NAME}\AppData\Local\Aronium\Aronium.Storage.Local\Aronium.local.propertiesBest regards, Aronium team.

Hi Sukowo,
This version is using SQLite database, it is not meant to be used in network environment and we do not support or recommend trying it. It is about some limitations in Windows (and Linux) systems related to proper file sharing in network environment.
You can read more about this at their official website https://www.sqlite.org/whentouse.html.
Please, pay attention to the following paragraph on their website:
If there are many client programs sending SQL to the same database over a network, then use a client/server database engine instead of SQLite. SQLite will work over a network filesystem, but because of the latency associated with most network filesystems, performance will not be great. Also, file locking logic is buggy in many network filesystem implementations (on both Unix and Windows). If file locking does not work correctly, two or more clients might try to modify the same part of the same database at the same time, resulting in corruption. Because this problem results from bugs in the underlying filesystem implementation, there is nothing SQLite can do to prevent it.
A good rule of thumb is to avoid using SQLite in situations where the same database will be accessed directly (without an intervening application server) and simultaneously from many computers over a network.
Networking version
New version that supports networking is currently in the works, and should be available in next couple of months. Until this version is released, we strongly recommend avoid using SQLite database in a network environment, as you may end up in data loss.
Thanks, Aronium team.

Hello, I was having the same problem but i went to this directory below and choose the pos.db file and it said to restart the application , which i did but again the same screen came up and then again it's not working. Could you please help me ??I tried to install the software again and downloaded the latest version but it didnt work.
C:\Users\{YOUR_USER_NAME}\AppData\Local\Aronium\Data -
Hi Waikiki,
It may happen for some reason that the file is corrupted. Also, what may happen is that some antivirus programs see SQLite database file as a potentially harmful and blocks the access.
Can you please send your "pos.db" file to support@aronium.com so we can check it out?

Hi Learning Path,
This version is using SQLite database. There is new version that will be using MS SQL Server database and that one can do that.
You can find more details at https://help.aronium.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360017247712-Network-Environment.
Thanks, Aronium team.

Hi Mike,
Not sure what did you mean by "without asking database", but if you want to overwrite existing database in standalone version, you can simply follow instructions at https://help.aronium.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003477932-Restore-database
Best regards, Aronium team.

Hi,
I was facing the same error while trying to install the standalone version in standard user account in windows11 (not in Admin account). The trick that worked was to run the setup as administrator by right clicking and choosing run as administrator. Hope this works for you too! Cheers!
