Important!
The instructions below applies to Aronium Pro only.If you are seeing the following messages when creating a database backup in Aronium Pro, it is an expected behavior, as it is a system (Windows) protection preventing us from accessing this directory.
Even if your database backups are not copied to selected directory, all your backups are created in default database backup directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.ARONIUM\MSSQL\Backup\
Without specifically granted permissions to this protected Windows directory, you will see the following message:
How to solve the problem?
The solution to this problem is to simply navigate to default backup directory and grant permissions to currently logged in Windows user to access it.
If you open "My Computer" and navigate to this directory, you will be asked to provide admin permission for accessing this folder. To grant permissions to Backup directory, click Continue button on the security dialog, as in the screenshot below.
Once you confirm the above dialog and open Backup directory, you will see all your backup files there, and, from that moment, Aronium will be able to move database backup files to the folder of your choice.
Running Aronium as Administrator
Alternatively, you can run Aronium as "Administrator" by right clicking on shortcut icon and select "Run as administrator" from context menu.
Once you run Aronium as an Administrator, you will be able to access this default directory and copy database backup to selected destination.
