Can I continue using Aronium?
You can continue using Aronium, but it may behave unpredictably or become unstable until the issue is resolved.
Possible recovery steps
In some cases, downloading and reinstalling the latest version of Aronium resolves the issue and completes the database update successfully. Before trying again, please do the following:
- Close Aronium completely on all computers.
- Restart the computer where the database is located.
- Temporarily pause any cloud sync, automatic backup, or antivirus scanning that may be accessing the database file.
- Start Aronium again and try the update once more.
Manually run database updates
If you are using Aronium Lite, you can follow instructions below to try running database update manually.
Aronium Lite users only
This option applies to Aronium Lite only. Do NOT try this if you are using Aronium Pro!
Default database location
This option works only if you haven't moved Aronium Lite database from its default location.
This error usually means that the Aronium Lite database file is currently locked by another process or connection while Aronium is trying to update the database structure. This can happen if Aronium is still open in the background, if another computer/register is using the same database, or if another program such as antivirus, backup, OneDrive/Google Drive/Dropbox sync, or a similar tool is accessing the database file at the same time.
To run migrations manually and see if that fixes the problem, follow the steps below. The installation takes few minutes only.
