database backup-and store as separate file
Hi
1. I wish to know is it so, that the database file is keep growing in size as we keep adding transactions and products updates, additions etc?
2. If the answer to above is YES. Then is it possible, that i save my database file based on some criteria, say each financial year i will save one database file, and i would be able to save it as separate file?
3. While doing so, all sales/refunds/ data etc. will go along with year-wise back-up, but the basic product pricing, stock etc and other customer data would remain intact?
4. Whenever, i wish to use the old Fin. Year database, i could do so with another instance of Aronium in another PC system?
Is this possible?

Hi KKM,
Yes, it is possible.
Database will, of course, grow as you add transactions, but if you wish to clean it up after each year, you can do that easily after a backup is made.
Backup database
We encourage you to do database backups regularly, even on daily basis, to make sure your data is safe. To answer your question about keeping a database file for a financial year, all you should do is create a backup at the moment you wish to keep separate financial year by following instructions at https://help.aronium.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002769089-Backup-database
Restore database
If you wish to see the data from previous financial year, you can restore previously made backup anytime on any PC, by following instructions at https://help.aronium.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003477932-Restore-database
Cleaning previous financial year data
Once you have created your database backup at the end of financial year, the fastest way is to reset the database, as described at https://help.aronium.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001454791-Reset-database
Please, keep in mind that this will delete all transactions, products and customers. So, before you reset your database to start over for new financial year, export your products and customers, so you can imort them back once you do database reset.
Hope this helps.
Best regards, Aronium team.
